LIttle T...my sweet HEART

Let me tell you a little story about my sweet Little T and her sweet little heart. One night before bed, I put the three little girls in the tub. I get the other two and then finally little T. She jumped out just fine, and was very eager to put on some lip gloss that she saw sitting near the sink. Soon after she asked me to open it, she just walked right past me and out in the hallway. I thought this was so strange, so I followed her to see what was up. Just then, she shrieked that he back hurt. "What??? You're back hurts sweety?" I asked. She replied that no, it didn't hurt. Hmmm....I found this so strange, but things soon became much stranger. Just moments later she came and lay down on the carpet at the top of the steps and instantly fell asleep. Now, when I mean instantly, I mean instantly. I was actually on the phone with my dad when this happened, and I quickly realized that something was really wrong. I could now wake my precious girl up, no matter what I did. I tried shaking her, picking her up, nothing worked. This is where I started to panic a bit. I put her in her bed and called Michael at work. I realize I maybe should have phoned 911 instead, but I needed Michael, I was not handling this very well at all!! She slowly started coming around and I was able to wake her up and get her to sit on the couch. Now, I failed to mention that while this was happening, her beautiful skin turned a very ugly shade of blue/gray. That is a color that I never, ever want to see in my child's skin again!!! Michael got home and took her to the ER where they ran a whole bunch of tests. I had been praying the whole time that she wouldn't be scared with her daddy, and that the doctors would be very gentle and kind. Michael returned around 1 am and said that she never cried once, not even when they drew her blood. Thank God for the small little miracles!!!!! The doctors decided that they wanted to monitor her heart for 48 hours and sent her home with a cute little monitor. Again, she did not complain once, just took it all in stride.....she is so precious!!

Well, the results are in and my sweet Little T and her sweet little heart seem to be fine. They figure it was an isolated event, and I pray it will never happen again!!! Love you T, you and your heart!!!!

Easter

Yep...I know Easter was a while ago, but life was pretty hectic around here and I'm just starting to feel a little bit normal. Once again, Easter was glorious...what can be better than eternal life given to us through the selfless act of Christ dying on the cross. I don't know, but that's just about as good as it gets people. The kids and I were able to attend a few services at our new church this year and they were pretty awesome. On Good Friday, they literally held a memorial service for Jesus. It was pretty cool, like we were sitting at his funeral. Of course there was also the typical traditional stuff that we did as well, like dying Easter eggs and hunting for candy. One of my favorite things that I get to do is have all of my children dressed like little angels. This doesn't happen very often anymore, at least not with the boys. They fight and fuss every time I ask them to wear a tie...you'd think it was strangling them or something..sheesh!! The girls on the other hand had been begging to wear they're new dresses since Grandma and Grandpa had brought them over. They love to be all dolled up...what a treat! We were able to spend the day with both my family and Michaels, it was a real treat!!!

Fearless and the water park

Last weekend Daddy took Fearless, Skater Boy and 5 friends to a water park in Brainerd to celebrate his 10th birthday. Apparently fun was had by all!! They left bright and early, had lunch, played in the arcade, swam and swam some more. They came home right around 5 in the afternoon, and said that they had an awesome time. Let me tell you this, my boys slept like rockstars that night....all that swimming does a body good!!
Happy birthday again Fearless...we love you so!!
