Let me tell you a little story about my sweet Little T and her sweet little heart. One night before bed, I put the three little girls in the tub. I get the other two and then finally little T. She jumped out just fine, and was very eager to put on some lip gloss that she saw sitting near the sink. Soon after she asked me to open it, she just walked right past me and out in the hallway. I thought this was so strange, so I followed her to see what was up. Just then, she shrieked that he back hurt. "What??? You're back hurts sweety?" I asked. She replied that no, it didn't hurt. Hmmm....I found this so strange, but things soon became much stranger. Just moments later she came and lay down on the carpet at the top of the steps and instantly fell asleep. Now, when I mean instantly, I mean instantly. I was actually on the phone with my dad when this happened, and I quickly realized that something was really wrong. I could now wake my precious girl up, no matter what I did. I tried shaking her, picking her up, nothing worked. This is where I started to panic a bit. I put her in her bed and called Michael at work. I realize I maybe should have phoned 911 instead, but I needed Michael, I was not handling this very well at all!! She slowly started coming around and I was able to wake her up and get her to sit on the couch. Now, I failed to mention that while this was happening, her beautiful skin turned a very ugly shade of blue/gray. That is a color that I never, ever want to see in my child's skin again!!! Michael got home and took her to the ER where they ran a whole bunch of tests. I had been praying the whole time that she wouldn't be scared with her daddy, and that the doctors would be very gentle and kind. Michael returned around 1 am and said that she never cried once, not even when they drew her blood. Thank God for the small little miracles!!!!! The doctors decided that they wanted to monitor her heart for 48 hours and sent her home with a cute little monitor. Again, she did not complain once, just took it all in stride.....she is so precious!!
Well, the results are in and my sweet Little T and her sweet little heart seem to be fine. They figure it was an isolated event, and I pray it will never happen again!!! Love you T, you and your heart!!!!
