My naked little Louie...

Oh my...last night was pretty hilarious, and slightly frustrating at our home. It started with Little T coming downstairs to tell me that Louie had taken off all of her clothes. Sure enough, she was jumping up and down in her crib buck naked. I giggled silently to myself as to not encourage her nudist behavior, dressed her, and went on my merry little way.

Quite a while later I was finally ready to hit the sack myself and came upstairs. I always check on all the kids before I go to sleep and when I walked in the girls room, this is how I found my sweet little Louie. She was once again naked as a newborn, but this time she was just sitting up quietly talking to the animals that she had surrounded herself with. This time, I could not contain my laughter. I actually went to my sleeping husband and forced him up. I said "honey, you have got to come see Louie." His response, "she's naked isn't she?" "Well yes, but its so much cuter than usual." Seriously, I found it really hysterical and took picture upon picture of my little nudist. I think I've said this a million times before...."if she wasn't so cute and all!"

1 Birthday...11 Little Girls:)

I know what you're thinking, that is a SEA of little girls and lots and lots of pink! Well.. you're right about that. Sunshine turned 7 this week and to celebrate, she decided that a sleepover sounded like the perfect plan. She couldn't decide which little girls from her class that she wanted to include, and finally asked if she could simply invite them all. Michael and I looked at each other for a minute, then said,"sure, go ahead." My thought..."really?? How many will actually show up?" Well...9 to be exact, so counting my girls that is 12 little girls. Although one had to leave before shut-eye, so technically only 11 slept at the house. I thought that this would be way easier than the boy party we had for Skater Boy....yeah, not so much. Girls still like to have fun and can LOUD pretty quickly! We did have plenty of entertainment though. We decided to set up crafting stations in the basement, a girls dream as far as I'm concerned. Once crafting was over, they all hunkered down for a good ole fashioned movie night..Grabinski style. I have been saving our yogurt containers for a while and I had just enough. They make the most perfect popcorn holder, then everyone gets their own and your not stuck washing lots and lots of bowls!!! It was a great night had by all and Sunshine had a blast!! Until next year....I think my ears are STILL ringing;)

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day...what can I say, once you are married with children it takes on a whole new meaning. To be honest, I don't think that Michael and I have done anything alone on this day for at least 10 years....and that is just fine with me! We have made it a tradition at our house that we have a fancy dinner together, the whole family. We do it up big here people, does it get any better than sparking grape juice served in wine glasses;)
On the day that I came home with all the groceries for the big event, I told Sunshine that Grandma Carole was going to come have the dinner with them while mommy and daddy went out and celebrated together. Her response to that.... "WHAT????? You can't do that!" She was very relieved when I confessed that I was just teasing her...the nerve of me! I do relish the fact that my children look forward to these days, and can't imagine spending them any other way. I don't know how much longer that will happen, so I will soak it in while I can!! I love this little....err I mean big...family that the good Lord has blessed me with. Overwhelming at times that he has trusted us with such precious gifts...but I do love them more than I could express with my mere words, can't imagine a day without them! Thank you Lord for the gift of my family...love abounds in this house!!!

Jumpin' Jack Flash!

Yeah...I know this is an older picture and yes I know that it has nothing to do with the title of this post, but give me a break...it's hard to get a picture of this busy guy!!! Recently, Michael and I were talking to our friend who just happens to own Northcrest. We mentioned how bummed Fearless was that they didn't have an older boys gymnastics class anymore. He was like,"ah...yeah, we have one now...my son just started in it." What??? This is awesome!!

Fearless hasn't had an outlet for his natural inclinations to do all things...well...FEARLESS... for some time now. Especially this winter with our serious lack of snowfall!! They are lucky that their Daddy will obliged and take them to Powder Ridge every couple of weeks, but this boy needs more frequent energy outlets than that!! So...we didn't hestitate and we got him going at class right after Christmas. It was really wonderful to see him out there again, he feels so proud when he gets singled out in the "watch him...that's how its done!" type of manner!! About a month into his class, we received a noticed that Fearless had been one of the chosen boys to be invited to the two hour boys class. They are doing this to help the more advanced students progress even further with more one on one coaching. Oh man...was I proud of him. His first class was this past Monday, and he loved it. I am amazed at how much he has picked up already, a real natural if you ask me! He is already asking to do gymnastics nearly daily, something I'm really thrilled about.

So..now at our house we really do have a "jumpin' jack flash!!!"
