Life's a Beach!

Awww...finally a beautiful summer Saturday that our WHOLE family could enjoy. Since Daddy has been in school, it is very difficult for us all to spend the entire day together doing something special. He is usually overwhelmed with papers, reading, and just homework in general. However, since he just completed his quarter and will have two weeks off, we took full advantage of the beautiful June day yesterday. We started off by heading to a couple clothing stores. Poor Bubba, every swimsuit in our house had no elastic left in it. He could barely keep them on that little tush of his. We did manage to find one lurking in the closet, but it had no liner inside anymore (which he did not like at all!) So, we promised him he could get a brand new suit this year, no hand-me-downs! He found a super cool surfer suit at Old Navy, big bonus that it was on a great sale. Now...we were ready to hit the beach. Shortly after Tessa woke from her nap we headed to Warner Lake near St. Augusta.
This was the first time we had taken Tess with, and she was very unsure of all the sand. At first, she would only walk a few steps then stop to sit and brush all the sand off her feet. It was hilarious! However, it didn't take her long to realize that she LOVED the water! She would have just walked right in to the deep water without hesitation. She spent most of her time holding Mommy or Daddy's hand and walking up and down the beach. She did manage to find a little stick that caught her interest for quite some time...ahhh the little things:)
The older boys took great pleasure in the deep water with Daddy. He would flip them so high up in the air that they could do a full flip before hitting the water again. I tried not to watch too closely...since I am the nervous parent!
Ava spent a lot of time making a river in the sand, then decided that riding on Daddy's back was much more fun.
It was a great day for everyone, Mommy even got in the water a little bit. Now, if someone could please tell me how in the world to leave the beach (A.K.A. pounds of sand!) AT the beach, I would be much appreciative!!!!
