Last weekend our family made our annual trip out to Golden's Nursery to cut down our Christmas tree. The kids look forward to this day, it has become such a tradition at our house. We even had the added bonus of actually having snow on the ground this year as we trudged merrily through the woods to find that perfect tree. Well, we did trudge and we were merry (for the most part) but we just had the hardest time finding that "perfect" tree this year. To make things even more fun and interesting, we decided to bring Moxie Crimefighter along for the ride this time. She's a sweet little dog, but she is such a scardy cat!! Seriously, every twig, noise, tree, shadow or breeze scared her....come on, where's my watch dog?!?! The kids started getting anxious to find a tree, so we settled on one that we thought would be just great. However, once we got it home and trimmed it up, it was a bit on the skinny, scrawny side. Oh, well...Mommy says that all trees deserves to be decorated, not just the big beautiful ones. I told the kids to have a little faith, and that with all the ornaments and lights it would looks great. And....what do you know, it does!!! They love it, and Moxie loves to sleep under it....it's so precious! However, we cannot, and I repeat CANNOT, keep little Louie away from the ornaments. At my last count we were down 5 bulbs, all courtesy of my precious blued eyes little angel...she's lucky she's so cute and all!!!
