Well, first of all please excuse the order in which I posted these photos..they are ALL over the place! Our family celebrated the birth of our Savior with great gusto this year!! We began our festivities on Christmas Eve by spending the afternoon with Grandpa Bip (Michael's dad) and his brother Jeff's family (Lisa, Bailey, Maliah and Kian.) After we enjoyed time at Grandpa's together and opening presents, always a kids favorite, we all headed off to church. After church we then went to Jessica's parents house to enjoy dinner and family time with her parents, brothers and their families, and her sister's family. This is quite a houseful when they are all together, but it is a great blessing to have such wonderful family all around. I did post photos of the grandkids with Grandpa Bip and then there is also a photo of all the grandkids on Jessica's side (it's quite a large bunch!) We all stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Kelm's until around 9pm, then headed home. Grandma and Grandpa Kelm had delivered a present a couple days earlier for the boys to open when we got home. They had kind of forgotten about it until we were in the van. Well, needless to say they tore it open as soon as we stepped in the door. Jack just about fainted when he opened it up and saw a Wii (there's a picture of his expression!). They never even asked for one this year because they knew that we would never be able to buy one, so to get one from Grandma and Grandpa completely surprised them. They were so excited to get it up and running. Mommy and Daddy set it all up when they went to sleep and had a little baseball battle, I have to admit that it is quite fun. Mommy isn't much for video games, but actually enjoys this one. Ava received a game called Cooking Mama and she likes to play it with Jes!
Well, Christmas day came very early!! The kids woke up and opened their presents from Mommy and Daddy. Both of the boys got a digital camera and took pictures ALL day long, (they wore out their batteries!) Ava received a Dora princess and a Magna Doodle. Tess got a play purse and dollies! We then did "the rounds" which is where we spend some time at each of Jessica's siblings house to enjoy food and check out their tree. It is a long day, but everyone always has so much fun. This has been a tradition in Jessica's family since she was a baby, they used to go to all of her aunt and uncles houses until the families got too big.
It was a great Christmas, it's important to remember that our true gift is Jesus. Without Him we wouldn't have any JOY to celebrate!!
Now I must log off, Michael wants me to join them in bowling....ahhh it begins!!!
