Movie Night at the Grabinski's

Well, tonight was a great ending to another fantastic winter day at our house. It all started off with the Peterson cousins spending the day with us. All of the older kids (Claire, Jack, Eli, Ava and Charlie) spent the entire morning playing outside in the woods. Greta and Tess stayed in and played picnic in the basement! The big kids were busy building forts and just enjoying all the new freshly fallen snow. I finally made them all come in for lunch and a cup of hot chocolate...everyone's favorite. After lunch Michael piled Claire, Jack, Elijah and Ava into the van and headed off to Grandma Carole's house. She loves to have the kids come over and help her frost Christmas cookies, it is becoming somewhat of a tradition. Claire was happy to go along and had a bag full of cookies to take home with her..what a treat. They got home just before dinner time. Right after supper we had all of ours get their jammies on and head down to the basement. Michael had already put the couches in "movie night position" (he puts the two couches together so we have a little nest!). The kids were so excited, they absolutely love family movie night. We all get our water and hunker down to watch a movie together. Tonight the movie was "Kung Fu Panda." The boys had recently been to a friends birthday party which was at a Tae Kwon Do studio, so this hit the mark! Tessa had never been able to eat the popcorn before, so tonight was special for her. She was hilarious...she just INHALED the popcorn. She wouldn't even take her eyes off the screen, just dig her hand in and grab a bunch!! Everyone sat through the entire movie..including Mommy! The kids said it was the best day ever....again!!
