So today we were going to take all the children to the sledding hill. Mom had a great family day in mind, however Mother Nature had other plans. A few hours before lunch, we bundled all the little ones up and packed the van full of sleds. This was going to be Tessa's first sledding outing and Mom was determined to get tons of pictures. Well, once we got the Sauk Rapids Highschool, Tessa had fallen asleep and was not about to wake up. We decided Michael would take the older ones to the hill and I would wake her a little later and bring her to at least get some pics. Well, they didn't even make it down the hill one time. It was so incredibly windy that the kids couldn't even see once they got to the top of the hill. It was quite the sight! They came right back to the van and we headed home. Everyone was disappointed about our failed attempt to have a family sledding outing! I guess we'll have to try again another day. The boys said they would like to try Riverside park anyhow...apparently it has some snowboarding run!!
