This yard.....

This yard...the yard that my children spend endless hours in. Searching for frogs, climbing trees, swinging, snowboarding, digging, roasting marshmallows.....having fun. This yard...the one that we so desperately did not want to leave, but felt we must. This yard....the one that the Lord apparently desires us to keep.

Michael and I have been praying and praying about our financial situation for the past year and half. As most people know, we made the difficult decision to put our house on the market nearly a year ago because Michael is without work and back in school. We didn't think our savings would last us long enough to get through the difficult times, and felt that we needed to be responsible about our situation. So, last July we put our house up for sale.

We cleaned endlessly, as parades of people walked through our home...most loving it (why wouldn't they..right?!) We even had three separate offers, one which we accepted. Obviously, none of them panned out and we were still here wondering....what does the Lord want of us right now? Finally, late last week we made the decision that we would stay put and put our faith in the Lord. He has seen us through an entire year of Michael being in school, and we have yet to deplete our savings. How you ask?? Only the Lord knows, because I (Jes, the financial executive of Grabinski Family Savings!) has absolutely know idea how we have continued to pay our bills. Granted, we haven't been living in the lap of luxury and it's been tight, but we have been living, eating (fully clothed!) and loving each other through this trying time. We have complete faith that the Lord will see us through until this storm is finally past. We have been blessed with incredible family and friends and know that this is what is right for our family.

So...this yard...this yard is where my kids will get to grow up. They are beyond thrilled with that fact. Now we can focus on living here, loving here, and getting ready for a new sister here....PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

What a beautiful entry. Your faith in the Lord has brought you this far and He will not let your family down. I admire you. Your house is so perfect and that yard IS another one of God's blessings. Thanks for the touching story...God does provide!

Yeah, I am so happy for you! You must feel so much relief to have made the final decision.
