More Field Trips:)

We have been on more field trips in the past few weeks, seriously people!! As I mentioned last, Sunshine had a field trip to the farm. Then, that same week Skater Boy and Fearless both had a different field trip on Friday. Since we are room parents for the first grade class, Michael was able to attend the field trip for Skater Boy. They went to a Pioneer Village nearby where they were able to walk through old buildings from "Little house on the prairie time". Skater Boy just loved it, he talked about it most of the afternoon when they got home. Mommy was so tired since she was up super early to pick her dear friend up from the airport, that at one point I just laid on the couch with my eyes shut listening to him talk about it for at least a half an hour...what a glorious rest:)
Anywhooo...back to the trips. Fearless went to a military museum near Fort Ripley and to McDonald's. As strange as this sounds, he talked about McDonalds more than anything else. He was quite apprehensive about having to stand at the register and order his own meal. He was allowed to bring five dollars only, so he had to be aware of what he was ordering. We even did a couple "practice runs" so he could pretend he was ordering and be a bit more comfortable with it. He came home and said it went very smoothly...as I figured it would! He ordered a double cheeseburger, a fry and soda. Although, when he did home that afternoon and said that his stomach was hurting really badly. Michael and I thought about it for a second and figured that is was probably all the grease from the fries. We couldn't think of a time when we have ever ordered the children their own french fry bag. We rarely order them at all, but when we really want to treat them we'll order ONE bag for the WHOLE FAMILY!!! No wonder poor Fearless had a gut ache...yikes!
Oh, I almost forgot that Fearless did have one more field trip about two weeks ago. His class, with Mommy too, went to the movie theater to see Oceans. It is a documentary put on by Disney all about the ocean and the creatures that live in it. If any of you get the opportunity to see it, I highly recommend it. All of the children and the adults just loved it...super cool!!!
Well, school's almost out for the year...Sunshine actually had her last day of class today. Wow, summer break is nearly upon us...please help me!!!!!
